London based artist Celia Pym has moved onto different work now, but her seven-plus year project ‘The Catalogue of Holes’ was a collaborative exercise in mending strangers’ clothes, each piece of which grew out of her relationship with garment's owner as well as the object itself.

But quite aside from its artistic merit, this Norwegian sweater from ,
 in which she used white
 wool
darning to reknit a completely wrecked historic article, might be the most astonishing mending feat I've ever seen. "Hope’s Sweater, 1951", is a close second. See more of Pym's work, and what she's up to now, .

Sorry but Celia is not accepting commissions for mending collaborations any more.
